I have an entire bin of 6 strand floss that I inherited from my great grandmother. I'm not sure what she used to make with it, but I've used it for so many different craft projects. This being one of them. I wanted to draw attention to the centers of the fabric detail just a bit and add a bit of dimension.
I then chose a different floss color to add some rays of detail. I was using a simple, classic sewing technique, over, under, over, under. Just keep rotating your fabric until you've completed the full rotation. This wasn't hard at all.
Once I added my details it was time to sew up the pillow. I added a zipper to one side for easy removal if it gets dirty.
and there it is...my daughters $2 pillow.
