Splurge vs Thrifty: clocks

In the hunt for a clients playroom design I found some pretty fun modern clocks.  They all had the feel I was looking for, but they all had very different price tags.  (as I'm sure quality too)  When it comes to working on a budget, you tend to design for the aesthetic of the room rather then the workability of a clock...the little guy can't tell time just yet =) 

I wanted the clock to be colorful, similar to a sunburst, modern and truly eye-catching.  Here is what I found.

Oh Monday Monday

Well, I hope last night doesn't give me a slight glimpse into my week.  My poor husband after having a great father's day full of park play, soccer coaching, pool, yummy lunch and great dinner comes down with the worse stomach bug.  (I don't dare call it the flu)  We were both up most of the night, one being the patient, me being the nurse.  I'm tired.  We are all stirring clear of him today...I can't handle two kids with the bug, not to mention me.  So the Lysol has been sprayed, and the windows are open.  Lets hope the buggy went out the window. ( Wishful thinking)

Tick Tock

Ok...this is too ironic.  I was just starring at the clock I have in my house.  It is from Target and is so 7 years ago!  =)  No really...I think I bought it 7 years ago.  That's way before I had two kids and really came into my own when it comes to the design I like.  What does one do when they need a new clock?  Head over to the Pinterest tab that I ALWAYS have open on my computer screen.  In my search this is what I found...
